   School

   I walked onto the subway this morning just in time to overhear a young man tell his classmate that “I don’t understand physics, yo!”

   At that moment the train lurched forward and stopped suddenly sending the boy careening into one of the subway doors face first and then bouncing him to the floor.

   I can’t help but imagine his understanding of physics deepened in this moment. I also appeared to be the only one who found the humor in this situation as my cackling was met with glares from my fellow adults around me.
